The export book trade in Indonesia has not yet developed sufficiently to support extensive dealings with overseas customers, and an in-country presence is necessary to obtain the full range of titles currently sought by Australian users. ![]() Indonesian Acquisitions Program The Indonesian Acquisitions Program was established by the National Library of Australia in 1971 with the aim of acquiring a broad range of government and nongovernment publications for the National Library and a number of participating university libraries. The quarterly IAL resumed on the Web only in March 2003. There was a break in production from September 2001 to December 2002. It has also been accessible on the Web since 1996. ![]() The IAL was produced quarterly in hard copy until September 2001.
